More Credit Squeezing: Infiniti Offering 0% Financing On All 2008 Models

The credit crunch is squeezing every last bit of leeway out of the auto industry. Just recently, Toyota announced 0% financing on 11 of it’s models. Then, BMW started offering 0.9% financing on all it’s cars. And now it’s Nissan’s turn. Their high-end brand, Infiniti, is offering 0% financing for 36 months on all 2008 models.

Their official reason: To help consumers affected by the credit crunch. Yeah, right, they’re doing this as charity, helping their fellow man. It has nothing to do with the fact that it’s the end of the year and they’re trying desperately to unload all the 2008 stock that didn’t sell. Infiniti’s sales were down 33% last month compared to the same time last year. They need to bust out all the incentives they can to get their cars off the lot.

Maybe it’s time I went down to Holman Infiniti and picked up the G37 coupe I’ve had my eye on. Hopefully they have it in Black Obsidian. I just have to sign on the dotted line, right?
