How do you leave the Bugatti Veyron in the dust? Hire designer Marlon Kirby and financier David McMahan who recently unveiled their Maxximus G-Force - a car that they claim is the quickest car in the world with a 0 to 60 mph time of 2.1 seconds.
The two took an Ultima GTR 720, a British-made sports car already capable of a 0 to 60 mph time of 2.6 seconds, and dropped a 7.0L Chevrolet V8 with two Turbonetics turbochargers that allows for a total of 1,600-hp. Power is transferred to the wheels through a custom-made 3-speed transmission with steering wheel mounted paddle shifters. That allows for a 0 to 60 mph run in 2.1 seconds and a 0 to 100 mph run in 4.541 seconds. With the help of 6-piston AP Racing calipers and 14.2 inch rotors, the car comes to a complete stop in 8.861 seconds. It is said that that the 2,700 pound Maxximus G-Force can suck its tank dry in just 9 minutes.
Anyone interested in buying the Maxximus G-Force? McMahan says that he has had inquiries from buyers in the Middle East. The car is expected to cost about twice as much as the beloved Bugatti Veyron.
