Ford of Europe sells 28,300 units of the Fiesta in Jan.


Ford of Europe reported an increase in its market share in January by 0.5 percent to 9.3 percent - the highest January share since 2004. The new 2010 Fiesta was the best-selling Ford car in January in the main 19 European markets.

Ford of Europe reported an increase in its market share in January by 0.5 percent to 9.3 percent - the highest January share since 2004. The new 2010 Fiesta was the best-selling Ford car in January in the main 19 European markets.


Ford of Europe said it sold a total of 98,300 vehicles in the first month of 2009. The Fiesta accounted for 28,300 units of the total number. Since the Fiesta’s launch in August 2008, Ford of Europe has sold a total of 89,000 units.



The new 2010 Ford Fiesta is FoMoCo’s first in a series of global, small-cars from Ford. It will arrive China and other Asia Pacific markets later this year. North American sales will start in early 2010.
