Gumpert Apollo Speed coming to Geneva with 700-hp

It’s not only the big automakers that will be displaying vehicles at this year’s 2009 Geneva Motor Show. Performance automaker Gumpert will be on hand revealing its latest Apollo variant - the Gumpert Apollo Speed. Appearance wise, Gumpert says that the Apollo Speed will sit lower than its standard brother at 1,105mm an will have a much more “classy and aggressive” stance.


Power will come from a bi-turbo V8 capable of produces 700-hp. It is mated to a sequential 6-speed gearbox and a rear-wheel-drive system that help it reach 0 to 62 mph in 3 seconds flat, 0 to 124 mph in 8.9 seconds and a top speed of 224 mph.



Gumpert says that a 650-hp and 800-hp trim will also be made available. Information on those two variants and pricing on the Gumpert Apollo Speed will be announced at a later date. For now, enjoy the teaser.
