Jaguar has obviously made a smooth transition over to its new India owners, with a prototype face lifted XK spotted in the UK.
The new XK will be revealed at the Detroit Auto Show in January 2009 boasting revised styling and mechanical upgrades to distinguish it from the current model.
Exterior changes include a new front bumper with revised air intakes below the headlights, plus a redesigned rear bumper with new LED tail lamps.
These changes will be applied to the entire XK range, including the performance XKR and extreme XKR-R edition due next year.
The engine line-up will remain the same, however expect a few small tweaks for some added horsepower, along with stiffer suspension and recalibrated steering.
Inside, the new XK range will feature Jaguar’s new drive-select transmission interface lifted from the XF saloon.
